       Groomed for Success  (one-day workshop)
As well as a new outfit, women re-entering the workforce may need support, skills and mentoring to transition from being fulltime carers or disengaged for varying reasons. There are many return-to-work programs available through the Commonwealth’s Job Services Australia network and through other NGOs but few offer the chance for participants to connect with someone who has walked in their shoes- someone from their own community.

“Groomed for Success” is facilitated by skilled ARC members, and is marketed to existing return-to-work program providers. With a focus on personal grooming (hair, beauty and presentation) and goal setting for economic independence, these workshop packages offer inspiration and mentoring. Even after the program is completed, coaching is provided to aspirants of interviews, micro-business establishment and students to achieve their individual goals.

Non-government organisations supporting women in choosing to rejoin the workforce, or to establish a micro home-based enterprise or a small business, are encouraged to make contact with the Anna Rennie Chapter. As well as offering access to good quality corporate attire and workshops, many of our members are interested in mentoring local women and even offering traineeships or jobs. Our networks have proven to add real value to their programs.

      Skilled for Success (one-day workshop)

This one-day workshop offers one-on-one support for resume writing, the preparation of job applications, coaching for more confident interview performance,  the chance to explore the idea of setting up a home-based micro business or how to return to study.

The workshop encourages peer support and offers on-going mentoring with professional women who live in the same community.

      Even More Success....
The Anna Rennie Chapter is keen to capitalise on its model of community engagement by establishing a self-sustaining social enterprise to offer work experience, training opportunities and real jobs. ideas and enquiries to Cath Duncan via  cath@annarenniechapter.com.au
