Dressed for Success
Dressed for Success began as a community engagement project in 2007 aimed at providing low cost, quality corporate clothing and accessories to girls and women who are just starting out and in need of low cost, quality corporate attire.
Our Dressed for Success shop is operated by St Vincent de Paul from within its Port Adelaide outlet and is stocked directly by local women, via corporate suit drives and personal donations. Proceeds from items sold are used by St Vincent de Paul to manage the project and to add to general fundraising revenue.
The Anna Rennie Chapter through its local network of business women, corporate leaders and ‘girlfriends’ works hard to keep the shop stocked with good quality merchandise and to promote women’s engagement in the project. This is achieved directly by way of members of the Port Adelaide Enfield Chamber of Commerce and local women’s organisations and employers.
Two workshops run by the Anna Rennie Chapter - Groomed for Success and Skilled for Success - rely on a well stocked Dressed for Success outlet...
"I hadn't been for an interview in years and being a mum at home meant that I also didn't have many or any corporate clothes that still fitted me. The Anna Rennie shop was a god send! For my interview I looked pretty good and I felt more confident. Now I need to go back and get more outfits because I got the job!" ck from port adelaide
The Dressed for Success project is promoted at the Chapter’s annual millinery competition which aims to engage women from around Australia in a fashion event; at the annual High Tea which aims to encourage women of all ages in our community to hear inspirational stories over a cuppa; at monthly Renniegades business networking events; and through membership of the Women’s Network Australia and e-distribution lists, such as sawomenslist.
Your freshly laundered corporate clothes and accessories can be donated to the the Dressed for Success project via
