      Michelle Morton - CRT Australia

On International Womens’ Day, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements.  By honouring one of our own on IWD we, too, can draw attention to the amazing achievements and on-going struggles of women all around the world. On 8th March 2011, Michelle Morton was honoured with the inaugural Anna Rennie Chapter IWD Award.

In 2006 Michelle participated in a Young Business Accelerator Program being conducted by the North West Business Development Centre.  Since then, Michelle has capitalised on her talents of determination, research, analysis, marketing, quality processing, problem solving... and charm... to become a leader in a new generation of highly ethical business people and a fabulous young woman.

Her 1st business E-Cycle Recovery was established in February 2006. Driven by her passionate concern for the environment, Michelle has since created a successful company that recycles all types of e-waste in an ethical, transparent and socially responsible manner. These values describe her approach to business and epitomise the way she lives her life.

2 years later, in 2008, her 2nd business, CRT Recycling Australia, was established.  Up until that time not one business in Australia had the capacity to safely recycle the cathode ray tubes in television and computer monitors - CRT glass. So Michelle, seeing an opportunity, pulled out all stops to take it.

Congratulations, Michelle, and thanks for the inspiration!
